How Many Legs?

You walk into a room and see a bed. On the bed there are two dogs, four cats, a giraffe, five cows and a duck. There are also three chickens flying above the bed. How many legs are on the floor?

Since all of the animals are on the bed and no other furniture is mentioned in the room, there are six legs on the floor. Four legs from the bed and your own two legs as you stand in the room, amazed that someone managed to get so many animals onto a bed. And the ceiling must be vaulted to fit a giraffe. Also, who’s on cleanup duty?

Their are six legs because the animals are on the bed so the bed is on the floor and your legs are also on the floor making that six.

0, neither you nor the bed (the only things touching the floor) are on your legs, you and the bed are both on your feet. So TECHNICALLY the answer the poster gave is wrong. Yes, the bottom of furniture’s legs are called “feet”. Not to be confused with the “foot” of the bed (where your feet rest when you are laying down.)

On another note: YES chickens absolutely CAN fly unless their winds are clipped. They cant fly far because of their weight, but they can fly. (I would know, I raise them.)

I say only 2 because we don’t know how many legs are on the bed. My bed has 7 legs orig could be a platform bed ?

Well that’s not true when you hard at work and walking for hrs. You say I’ve been on my feet all day long not I’ve been on my legs all day long.

To add for Dan it’s called the foot of the bed because it’s where your feet go the bottom post of the bed or called Legs just like a chair has four legs.

The answer is zero. The bed wouldn’t be able to stand with all of those animals.

I say 4 and stand by that. just the four from the bed, the human legs are not on the floor. The human FEET are.

Most beds have 4 legs, so lets say this bed has 4 legs. The weight of the animals would cause those legs to break and then be on the floor. Therefore, I am going to say that there are four broken bed legs on the floor. The answer is incorrect unless you are sitting on the floor.

Beds don’t have legs they have posts, you use your legs to stand on your feet, you don’t stand on your legs……

Unless the person was a amputee he would walk on his feet .

Technically it’s only 4 because the question is “how many legs” are on the floor. In order for your own legs to count you would have your feet cut off.
