Three Pills From the Doctor

Your doctor gives you three pills and tells you to take one every half hour. How much time will have passed by the time you’ve taken all three pills?

One hour. You take the first pill, then wait a half hour and take the second pill, then at the hour mark you take the third and last pill.

The answer is 1hour because we take one pill at the same time then second after waiting half hour then the last pill 1hour

I don’t believe this can be accurately answered unless you mention the time you took your first pill. If the doctor gives you the pills at 5 pm and you take your first pill at 530 (which is why I came up with 1.5 hours) then the answer is 1.5. I don’t know why you would necessarily wait 30 minutes to take the first pill, but if you told me you take the first one right away I would come up 1 hour. It also doesn’t specify when the clock started. It doesn’t say the clock starts from the moment you take your first pill

I agree, it should have at least said what time you took the first pill.

Why would it not be 3 hours? It says every HALF hour and not every 30 minutes

It is 1 hour because if 1 tablet is taken by 30 min then it is 1 hour .
for example :-
If it is now 3 o clock we need to take the tablet after 30 min at 3.30 one tablet is done so next is we need to take again after at 4.00 2nd tablet done next we need to take again at 4.30 third tablet done so now let us see howw much time we took 3.30,4.00, 4.30 =1 hour
