I’m Something You Might Eat But I Also Kill
I’m something you might eat, but I also kill.
I can cause blindness and burns.
Because of me, people lose limbs.
I’ve even been known to crash cars.
And yet I’m considered beautiful
Small children play with me and parents don’t mind.
Some people even live inside of me.
What am I?
Snow. Every kid has taken a bite of snow, but thousands of people die every year in snowstorms. Watch out for photokeratitis, otherwise known as snow blindness. And if you’re exposed to snow for too long, you can lose limbs to frostbite. Just an inch or two of snow makes them treacherous.
A recent snowfall makes the world white, and kids love to build snowmen, snow forts and have snowball fights. Some people live in igloos, built out of snow.

I Change Stature As I Age
I change stature as I age, but my importance does not differ by age. My importance is manifested mostly when with my boss. When we part, I am of no importance.
What am I?
A pencil. It gets shorter with use, but is no less important. Its impact is from the person using the pencil to write or draw. Without them, the pencil is just an idle tool.
Thanks Keller!
Lennie’s List of Names
Lennie was cleaning up some old papers in his office and found a list with the following names:
Washington
Jefferson
Lincoln
Hamilton
Jackson
Grant
The last name on the list was mostly worn away and he couldn’t make it out. What was the last name and why?
Franklin. It’s a list of the men on U.S. currency, $1, $2, $5, $10, $20 and $50. The $100 bill has Franklin. And an interesting tidbit is that Hamilton, along with Franklin, are the only two men in the list who did not serve as president.
I Never Even Touch the Ground
For some, I am used to get around.
I never even touch the ground.
Sometimes I fall and sometimes I float,
If I’m in the air, then take note.
What am I?
A boat. Boats are used to get around, they aren’t on the ground, but in the water. They rise and fall with the waves, and if they’re in the air, it may be due to rough seas and you should be careful.
Another possible answer is a blimp.
Eyes That Don’t See
Most of you have two eyes. I only have one.
Most of you have eyeballs. I do not.
Your eyes aren’t dangerous, neither are mine.
But all together, I am extremely dangerous.
You can see things with your eyes.
I can’t see anything, even though the air is clear where my eye is.
What am I?
The eye of a tornado or hurricane. Could also be the eye of a needle.

I Used to Be The Light of Your Life
I used to be the light of your life,
I’d keep you warm while I cried,
Now I’m forgotten and tossed away.
What am I?
A candle. They used to be a primary source of light, and to a lesser extent heat. The “crying” is the wax rolling down the candle.
Favorite Pet is a Fish
I died and came back to life. My blood is not easily able to go through my body. My favorite pet is a fish. Who am I?
A shark. Sharks experience tonic immobility, also known as apparent death, where they appear to have died. Blood does not easily flow through their bodies, forcing sharks to swim continuously to circulate their blood. Lastly, sharks have pet fish called Remora (sometimes called suckerfish). They feed on parasites on the sharks and leftovers, and they use the shark as transport and protection.
A big thanks to Saravana for answering this.
