What can you catch but not throw?

Your breath or an illness (a cold, virus, the flu etc).

In order to catch something you must be involved in the action. Therefore, catching an illness of some kind is not valid(since it is extremely likely that you did not seek out the illness intentionally). You may catch only something that you are aware of. And, as for throwing, YOU must be able to lift the object, grasp it, then move and release it. So, in conclusion, if an object that you are aware of, once caught, becomes something else( a raindrop is only a “raindrop” while it is falling from the sky; where on impact is then JUST water), that object qualifies as a potential answer to this question.
