All In White, A Fossil

All in white, a fossil,
fresh snow, a loan, the sky,
But just what am I?

A bride (something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue).

A bride is borrowed? Old? Blue? C’mon, Dan.

@Ramon You don’t seem to be familiar with the traditional rhyme describing what a bride should have at their wedding – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Something_old

If I am “all in white,” “bride” makes sense as the answer. I’d object, though, to a bride being described as a fossil or the other things. Perhaps those subsequent clues should not be parallelled with “bride.” Maybe just add the word “with” in between, and it all works.
