This one has a few possible good answers. Not crazy about the ‘right’ answer. It’ll only fill the room with heat or light if we assume there’s a fireplace or stove with fuel or an oil/gas lamp.
Bees, flashlight/candle/light bulb, and perfume are all good answers. My guess was something that could produce sound – a small instrument like a harmonica or a mini cassette player.
