Privacy Statement
Short Version
Your personal information will be kept private. I won’t share it with third parties or second parties or any party really. I don’t even go to parties often, and when I do, the last thing I would think to bring is a list of your names and emails.
Long (and slightly boring) Version
What information is collected?
When you subscribe to the email newsletter your name (optionally) and email address (or else I can’t very well email you) is gathered. You may, however, visit our site anonymously. If it makes you feel better, you may visit the site while wearing a mask and speaking in an odd voice.
Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
How is your information used?
Your information may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience
- To improve the website
- To send periodic emails
The email address you provide will be used to send you updates. I might send occasional news or updates too. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, there are detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
How do I protect your information?
I maintain the latest security updates on the web server and use a strong password for the email list service along with two-step authentication, making it extremely difficult for an intruder to gain access.
Do you use cookies?
Yes, and they’re delicious. Cookies are small circular treats filled with tasty morsels of chocolate, raisins or oatmeal. They’re also files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. The cookies are used to understand and save your preferences for future visits.
Do you disclose any information to outside parties?
No, I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist in operating the website, conducting business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. I may also release your information when the release is required to comply with the law, enforce site policies, or protect others rights, property, or safety.
Third party links
Occasionally, at my discretion, I may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. I therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, I seek to protect the integrity of the site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
If I change the privacy policy, I will post the changes on this page.
