I Appear In The Morning But Am Always There
I appear in the morning but am always there.
You can never see me though I am everywhere.
By night I am gone, though I sometimes never was.
Nothing can defeat me but I am easily gone.
What am I?
Sunlight.
For Our Ambrosia
For our ambrosia we were blessed,
By Jupiter, with a sting of death.
Though our might, to some is jest,
We have quelled the dragon’s breath.
Who are we?
Bees.
Slice My Head
You use a knife to slice my head and weep beside me when I’m dead.
An onion.
If I’m Ever Gone, Beware
Sometimes you’ll find me hard and cold,
Other times I’m hard to hold,
Always present in the air,
If I’m ever gone, beware.
What am I?
Water. As ice I’m hard and cold, as water vapor I’m hard to hold and I’m always present in the air as humidity (aka water vapor). If the earth ever runs out of water, we’re toast.
