I’m Easy To Give Yet Few Will Take
I’m easy to give yet few will take,
I’m shared with a bride and can be seen at a wake,
I have a monopoly on the young,
And at times, it’s true, I may have stung.
What am I?
Advice. It’s easy to give it out but advice is often ignored. Brides are frequently given advice on their wedding day and you’ll even hear life advice at a funeral. Advice is frequently given to young people and some advice can be hard to stomach (like you should lose a few pounds).

Tears also works
Its easy to cry yet few do or take time for a good cry
Brides often cry and there are generally tears at a wake
Kids often cry a lot
And the salt in tears can sometimes sting

Makes sense… At first tho, I actually thought it might be “FLOWERS”. ** Many (buy) & give them, but few take (pick from a yard or garden) ’em anymore. Flowers may be given to brides at a wedding… they are often seen at funerals too, tho. Flowers $$$ absolutely monopolize the young. Whether a birthday or anniversary… even an, OOPS, I was baaaaad, last minute apology.. Floral shops = $ Oh, & while they ARE beautiful… Yep, you might just happen to lean in to get a closer look, but then find a BEE lingering; hence.. they may also “sting”. ** (actually… liked the “tears” reasoning above, a whole lot more than the “advice” answer/explanation, anyway) =) …. Advice. It was really hard at first because I was like “Brides?” then I was like ohhhhhh. lol.
