Green You Eat It

What is one word that, when it’s green you eat it and when it’s blue you wear it?

Bell. You eat a green bell pepper and you were a blue bell (a flower).

banana?

Like, you’d eat a green banana, and blue banana is a popular clothing company…

A pig??
When you eat it,it’s ham ,and it would be green as in green eggs and ham.
But when you wear it as leather, it would be blue cause it’s sad.

I appreciate all of the answers, I’m just not sure any of them fit as the answer. For instance, does anyone wear blue cabbage? Or for bananas, you eat yellow ones, green isn’t ripe yet.

Collar is intriguing, but seems like a stretch between collard greens and a blue collar worker.

Pear / pair is the best one I’ve seen. You eat green pears and you wear a pair of blue jeans. But it’s not one word.

I’ve also heard indigo. The Lactarius indigo has a blue milk which turns green when exposed to air and indigo dye is used to color blue jeans. But the milk and plant is indigo and that’s what you eat.

I’m inclined to go with pear/pair, but I’m holding out for a better fit.

Please continue with your answers!

How about a bean/beanie? Green beans you eat, and you can wear a blue beanie and call it a blue bean for short.
