Keapkonyak, you are over thinking this. Riddles don’t always have to be correct in every way, so stop overthinking them. Riddles are meant to be fun, but if you think about them like that, you’ll just make them really boring, and you DON’T want to do that.

I strongly disagree with the answer being a towel..because there is nothing to suggest that it is drying a third party rather its a sole subject matter. additionally the answer is also limiting, what if you put the towel out in the sun to dry will it still get wetter? i believe that the only universal and pragmatic answer for the riddle would be Ice..when you put ice out to dry weather in the sun or in hot environments it turns into liquid hence more and more wetter
