What is put on a table and cut but never eaten?
A deck of cards. You put the cards on the table to play, and you cut the cards to mix them up, but you don’t eat them. Flowers is another possible answer.

Deck of cards?! That’s silly. It should be flowers because a lot of people cut flowers and put them on a table, but are never eaten. Sure you don’t eat cards either, but not everyone puts playing cards on a table to play. Think again because my solution makes a lot more sense than theirs.
