I Run Cold and Hot

I run cold and hot,
I look blue but am red.

What am I?

Blood. People can be referred to as hot blooded, and certain animals are cold-blooded. Your veins look blue, but the blood is actually red.

That is a really neat riddle but blood IS blue it only turns red when it comes into contact with oxygen such as when you get a paper cut and start bleeding

@Joshua That’s a common belief, but it’s not true. Blood is always red.

Nope, blood is always red, actually. Veins look blue because light has to penetrate the skin to illuminate them, blue and red light (being of different wavelengths) penetrate with different degrees of success. What makes it back to your eye is the blue light.
